Loan
Preparation:
Here's the "Standard
Comprehensive List" of information you will probably need at
loan application time...
Locate and make copies
of the required information - make at least two sets. You may
have to apply at more than one institution. For your meeting,
bring the originals of the copied documents too,
so the lender may view them.
-
W-2s (for
last 2 years) and current pay stub;
- If Self-employed: Last 2 years
tax returns with schedules and YTD Profit and Loss Statement;
- Two-year employment history
(employer names and addresses);
- Information regarding all open
asset accounts (savings, checking, etc.) - bring 3 months of
statements;
- Name and address of all
landlords to cover 3 year history;
- Open debit account (car, loans,
credit cards, etc.) including name, address, account number,
payment amount and balances;
- Details on all other real estate
owned;
- Executed contract and copy of
deed (for legal description) of property to be purchased - Not
required if applying for "pre-approval" for a loan;
- Drivers License or other picture
id.;
- Personal check for appraisal and
credit fees;
- Certificate of Eligibility -
DD214 (VA Only);
- Social Security Card (FHA Only).
